The Nest

The Nest at Charlotte Latin School provides high-quality, developmentally-appropriate care and early education for children ages six weeks to five years.

 

The Nest has four classrooms with a total of approximately 60 children. Our three youngest classes are multi-age classrooms. Our Preschool classroom is designed for four and five-year-olds who will be eligible to attend Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten the following year. The majority of our students are children of Latin faculty and staff. We are currently only accepting affiliated families to our wait list.

The Nest is open from mid-August to early June each year and follows the Latin faculty/staff calendar for holidays and closings. Our program is open from 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. We offer full-day and half-day options for all age groups. The Nest is licensed by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (NCDCDEE). 

Enrollment is closed for the 2025-26 school year. 

Preschool Class (Four and Five Year Olds)

We are accepting children to the wait list for the 2026-27 school year. The child must be four by 10/15/26 and have a parent who is a Charlotte Latin employee or alumnus. We will also admit younger siblings of CLS students. If you are interested in joining the wait list, please email Anne Fisher with your name and phone number, as well as your child’s name and birthdate. There is no charge to be on the wait list. 


Infants through Three Year Olds

Our youngest classrooms are reserved for children of Charlotte Latin employees. Employees are encouraged to contact Anne Fisher or by phone at x404 as soon as they are interested in reserving a spot.
