Parent Engagement & Volunteer Opportunities

Parent involvement is an important and beneficial part of school life. The following organizations offer a vast array of volunteer positions that provide opportunities to pursue interests and share expertise with the Latin community.

Booster Club
Boosters support the School’s athletics program. Among the activities sponsored by the Booster Club is the Annual Hawkspys Award Banquet. Booster Club volunteers operate concession stands during athletic events.

Latin Arts Association (LAA)
LAA supports the School’s arts programs. It is composed of guilds that focus on specific areas of the arts program: Friends of Music, Friends of Theater, Friends of Creative Writing, and Friends of Visual Arts.

Parents’ Council (PC)
All Charlotte Latin parents are automatically members of the CLS Parents’ Council (PC) and are welcome to attend PC’s monthly board meetings. PC sponsors numerous events throughout the school year including Touchdown Tailgate, Book Fair, and May Day Play Day.

Family Technology Task Force (FTTF)
FTTF was established in 2016 to explore best practices in personal technology use with a mission to strengthen the parent-school partnership by providing resources to help guide technology use at home. FTTF works with school administrators and volunteers in a variety of ways including parent education, speakers, and promoting Screen Free Week.

Diversity and Inclusion Program
The Director of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs coordinates opportunities to identify and implement strategies to create awareness about diversity issues, as well as to attract students and families of diverse backgrounds to Charlotte Latin.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
Parents volunteers serve as Homeroom Parents, Library Assistants, and Division Office Assistants.
