Student Writers Share Works in Open Mic Readings

On Monday, October 30, and Tuesday November 1, the "Words Matter" Open Mic marked the 15th year of student readings and participation in The Scholastic Writing Competition since 2003. Upper School Creative Writers gathered in Anne's Black Box Theater to read pieces of poetry and prose to a student audience. Many of the creative writing works included in this presentation will go on to compete this year at the regional and national level of Scholastic Writing and for publication in Best Teen Writing, Scholastic's national publication.

For more information about this prestigious competition, visit artandwriting.org. Thank you, students, for sharing your works with us and for continuing our strong tradition of creative writing. Stay inspired and inspiring!
