Congratulations to fourth grade teacher Kate Hughey who has been recognized among the World Affairs Council of Charlotte's 2017-18 Council Scholars. Hughey was awarded $2,500 which she will use to fund a trip to Moldova this summer to meet with the teachers at our partner school - Mihai Emenescu Lyceum - in Chisinau. She will work with the director of the North Carolina-Moldova Partnership Project.
"I am very excited to have this unparalleled opportunity to make a strong, personal connection with my partner teacher and to deepen my relationships with many of the participants of the Partnership project. I have also been awarded a lifetime membership to the World Affairs Council of Charlotte," said Hughey.
