Middle School Girls' Soccer Wins GCMSAA Tournament

The Middle School girls' soccer team beat Holy Trinity on Friday, May 2, 2014 to capture the Greater Charlotte Middle School Athletic Association Championship. The Hawks dominated control of the ball to beat the Bulldogs 5-1. Mary Elliott McCabe had a hat trick with 3 goals, Emma Trollinger scored a goal, Kennedy Fertitta aided the attack with 2 assists and Claudia Dickey contributed 1 goal and 1 assist. Ruthie Jones had the win in goal for the Hawks.

"We subbed the entire team in and out several times," commented Coach Buck Bryant, "With fresh legs on the field all the time we just wore them out."

Latin's Middle School girls' soccer is a very good passing team; coaches and officials have commented on the high passing skill level to Coach Bryant after games.

"We dominated the game because we pass so well. It has been key for us all season," said Bryant.

The Middle School soccer Hawks finished their amazing championship season 11-0-1.
