Varsity Girls' Lacrosse



Overview


The Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse team tied for first place in the CISAA conference and was within one goal of winning the NCISAA Championship in 2018. The program has continuously improved under the leadership of Coach Nikki Williams and has become a consistent state contender.

Coaches


  • Head Coach
    Nikki Williams
    A three-sport athlete in her youth, Williams was a record-setting goalie for the women’s lacrosse team at St. Lawrence University and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. She has coached at all levels, including collegiate, and received the US Lacrosse Youth Excellence Award for Girls’ Coach of the Year in 2009. Coach Williams is the head coach of the Girls’ Lacrosse program at Latin, as well as the head coach of the 8th Grade Field Hockey team. She received the Newcomer of the Year award at the 2013 Hawkspys and works as a member of the Latin Admissions staff.
  • Asst. Coach
    Patty Hunter
    Hunter was a lacrosse midfielder and draw specialist at Pfeiffer University, where she obtained her B.A. in sports management in 2009. When she’s not coaching the Hawks, she works as the Partner Relations Manager for the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) and also coaches for AC Lacrosse Club. Hunter has been assisting Latin’s Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse team since 2012.
