Lower School
Music & Theater
Beginning in the Lower School, Latin's youngest students are introduced to the foundational concepts of music, including rhythm, melody, and expression. Teachers creatively employ learning-by-doing in their classes to teach concepts, incorporating physical movement, singing, playing, and listening exercises into instruction. Productions include a fall musical, winter concert, the Fourth Grade State Fair, and the annual Grandparents' Day presentation by students in TK–Grade 3.
Visual Art
Students learn basic skills in Lower School through projects based on classical techniques and themes.
Art educators are meant to inspire students to a place of creativity where imaginations are limitless.
