Alumni
The Alumni Association assists Charlotte Latin School in fulfilling its mission by promoting a close relationship between the School and its alumni. Organized in 1989, it includes all graduates of Charlotte Latin, which this year totals nearly 4,000 alumni.
Alumni Association activities are coordinated by the members of the Alumni Governing Board. Sponsored events include Reunion Weekend, Young Alumni gatherings, the annual LinkedIn Latin event and the Alumni Campaign for The Latin Fund.
Alumni are often invited to get involved in Latin's campus life, and stay connected to the School through Latin magazine, the Charlotte Latin Alumni Facebook page and other school social media.
The Alumni Endowment was established by the Alumni Governing Board in 1990. The Endowment is used, in part, to grant the annual Inlustrate Orbem Awards, which recognize and reward exceptional and committed faculty members who have significantly contributed to the life of the School. In 2006, the Alumni Governing Board also established the Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Chair program, which honors with a substantial monetary commitment the teacher who most exemplifies leadership, instruction, and mentorship for the entire CLS community.
