Engaging Afternoons at Hawks’ Club

Our Extended Day program, known as Hawks’ Club, serves Charlotte Latin students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 5. Housed in a dedicated after-school building, Hawks’ Club provides a welcoming space for children to transition from the school day to their home routines. The program is designed to foster a vibrant and engaging environment where students can build friendships, explore new interests, and be part of a connected after-school community.

Hawks Club

Older students enjoy a designated space where they can connect with peers, work on homework, take part in enrichment activities, and engage in community service projects—all while fostering independence and meaningful friendships. They also have opportunities to serve as mentors to younger children and take on leadership roles within the after-school community.

Each classroom is led by a dedicated lead teacher and assistant teacher who work together to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Our programs provide an atmosphere where every child feels like a valued part of a special after-school community—an after-school family. Our hope is that your children always look forward to the time they spend here with our staff, playing, learning, and growing.

Days and Times

Extended Day operates weekdays from 1:30–6:00 p.m., with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your family’s needs. Parents may choose to have their child’s day end at 2:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m., or 6:00 p.m. The program runs from the first day of school through the last.

We understand the demands of working families, which is why we also offer care on non-school days when Lower School is closed for teacher workdays, early dismissal days, and parent-teacher conferences. On these days, Extended Day operates as a full-day program from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring a mix of special on-campus activities and off-campus field trips to local favorites like children’s museums, parks, bowling alleys, petting zoos, roller rinks, and more.

We understand that every family’s life and work schedule is different, so we offer a variety of dismissal options:

Below is the typical Hawks' Club after-school schedule and the per-semester rates. Hawks' Club is available from 1:30-6:00 p.m. with three dismissal options. Remember that TK/K dismisses at 1:30 p.m., and Grades 1–5 dismiss at 2:45 p.m.

During registration, you will be able to choose your days and times. Billing is done on a per-semester basis.

The first-semester payment will be half the full-year rate, due on Monday, September 23rd, 2024.
The second-semester payment will be due on Monday, January 20th, 2025
