The 5-Minute Commute

Latin’s bus stops are located throughout Charlotte giving riders flexibility and parents close-to-home convenience. Each driver is a Charlotte Latin employee, and each is deeply connected to his or her precious cargo. With direct routes to school, students will arrive on time daily, and parents can rely on predictable school arrivals and departures.

Flexibility

Latin offers one-way, round trip and activity bus routes. Morning buses leave their stops for campus by 7:25 a.m. There are two afternoon Lower School departure times: 1:40 p.m. (designated for Kindergarten dismissal), 2:55 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. For Middle and Upper School students, Latin offers three departure times: 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Bus stops for the 2021–2022 school year are stationed at the following locations:

• Carmel Presbyterian Church
• Christ Episcopal Church
• Elevation Church Blakeney
• Freedom Park – Tennis Courts
• Harris YMCA
• Myers Park Country Club
• Myers Park United Methodist Church
• Providence United Methodist Church
• Trinity Presbyterian Church*
• Westminster Presbyterian Church

* no morning pick-up; afternoon and activity drop-off only

Activity Bus

For Lower School Students (TK – 5) who participate in any after school activities
(ex: Extended Day, Enrichment Programs, clubs, Grade 5 Band), the activity bus departs campus at 4:30 p.m. and stops first at Trinity Presbyterian Church, and then Christ Episcopal Church.

For Middle & Upper School Students (6 – 12) who participate in any after school activities (ex: sport practices, games, play practices, clubs, etc.), bus(es) depart campus at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., and stops first at Trinity Presbyterian Church and then Christ Episcopal Church.
