Academics and Advanced Courses
By engaging with college-level material in a supportive environment, students gain the confidence to take academic risks, the discipline to manage demanding workloads, and the insight to connect learning across disciplines. Whether a student is driven by data, drawn to abstract thought, or inspired by real-world impact, our advanced offerings help them go further — and think deeper.
Speech and Debate
Whether delivering arguments in a competitive setting or navigating complex global issues in a simulated diplomatic forum, our students learn to think on their feet, engage respectfully with diverse perspectives, and express themselves with purpose. These experiences, both in the classroom and in competition, empower students to find their voice — and use it meaningfully in the world.
College Counseling
Urban or pastoral, in state or out of state, Division I or Division III — what matters most are the dreams students carry, and the colleges that will help them achieve these dreams. Our College Counselors help students determine which colleges best meet their interests, goals and aspirations.
Innovation and Design
Latin’s fully equipped, state-of-the-art Fab Lab is where student agency and creativity come alive. Concepts of all kinds are explored across subject areas, including the arts, engineering, and environmental sustainability. Upper School students have all the space and resources to make mistakes, problem-solve, and develop ideas into prototypes that have real-world impact.
Global Studies
Whether deepening their world language skills, expanding cultural awareness, or competing athletically abroad, all Upper School students cultivate international competencies through Latin’s Global Studies opportunities.
Leadership Electives
We believe leadership starts with self-understanding. In our three leadership electives, students explore what it truly means to lead — examining their own values, decision-making styles, and the responsibilities that come with influence. Through discussion, reflection, and real-world application, students develop the tools to lead with adaptability in a rapidly changing world.

Our college counseling program is proactive and student-centered, helping each student identify schools that align with their goals and passions.
Commitment to Excellence
A traditional, college-preparatory curriculum is offered on a semester system. Six courses are required each year, of which four must be academic.
The Arts
The arts at Latin invite every Upper School student to discover and develop their creative side. With dynamic courses in music, theater, visual arts, and more, students refine their craft, explore new forms of expression, and grow into confident, skilled artists. Here, the stage, the studio, and the gallery are for everyone — because every student has a voice and a story worth sharing and celebrating.
Physical Education And Athletics
Upper School students build strength, sharpen skills, and discover activities they enjoy — from team sports to outdoor challenges and strength training. We focus on health education, lifelong fitness habits, and honorable teamwork, all while helping students gain the confidence and discipline to stay active for life.
