Highlights of the major accomplishments of Go Bold, Go Blue include developing and implementing:

• A school-wide safety and security plan with regular monitoring and improvements through regular meetings of a Crisis Response and Management Team.
• Changes to the Upper School program addressing the results of the survey of student life, including the elimination of mid-year exams and including more discretionary time for students.
• A K–12 faculty performance review process focused on growth and providing training to ensure consistency in practice.
• A student leadership framework and expanded leadership experiences in all three divisions.
• Regular parent surveys to better understand communication needs.
• Campus Master Plan updates.
• The Vision2020 capital campaign to address key components of the Master Plan which resulted in building new facilities across the campus, expanding access to CLS by increasing the Financial Aid endowment, creating a fund dedicated to faculty support, and securing operational excellence through the Latin Fund.
• The Latin Fellows program to increase the racial diversity of our faculty.
• A faculty and staff program, now known as the Aspiring Leaders Academy, to cultivate leadership opportunities for employees.
• Our 50th anniversary celebration year.

Overview of Plan Goals

1. Elevate the stature of language as an academic discipline and enhance communications instruction to improve students’ mastery of written, oral, and listening skills and their ability to engage in civil discourse.
2. Provide experiential learning opportunities for students that will serve to enhance students’ core academic foundation while developing their critical thinking skills and nurturing their creativity and passion for learning.
3. Provide students with opportunities to develop cultural literacy and to engage effectively with diverse peoples.
4. Increase opportunities for students to develop their leadership and collaborative skills.
5. Enhance student-teacher relationships and the partnership between the school and home to support and recognize the growth and development of each student.
6. Implement environmental sustainability as an underlying fundamental principle in all levels of the school community and its activities.
7. Build upon Latin’s tradition of sound fiscal management and stewardship to promote educational and institutional progress.
