Charlotte Latin School is pleased to announce that Tracey Vanneste has been appointed as the next Head of Upper School, effective July 1, 2026.

Tracey brings deep institutional knowledge, steady leadership, and a strong commitment to students, faculty, and the life of the Upper School. Over the past year, she has served with distinction as Interim Head of Upper School, guiding the division with clarity, care, and a sharp focus on both academic excellence and student experience. Her leadership has been marked by thoughtful decision-making, strong partnerships with faculty and families, and a genuine belief in the power of community.

Tracey's long history with our school — as an educator, dean, and division leader—gives her a unique perspective. She understands our culture, our aspirations, and the daily realities of Upper School life, and she leads with both high expectations and deep respect for the people who do this work.

We are excited to welcome Tracey to this role and look forward to the leadership she will bring to the Upper School.
