Congratulations to freshman Adam Stone, who placed third in Informative Speaking at the University of Kentucky's Tournament of Champions in late April (for his speech titled "Uncomfortable"). This prestigious tournament requires special qualifications or bids just to participate and is often considered more rigorous than the NSDA Nationals. "The fact that Adam qualified as a freshman is very rare. That he did so incredibly well speaks volumes about his hard work this year," said advisor Tara McLellan.

 

Adam was also State Champion in Junior Varsity Lincoln-Douglas Debate earlier this spring at the Tarheel Forensic League State Championship.
