On Tuesday, February 7, Josh Izzard, Senior Vice President at Red Ventures, spoke at a Lunch-and-Learn event for students in computer science, web design, and engineering classes. Izzard presented an overview of “How we got here,” discussed watershed moments, and talked about “Where we are right now.” The far-ranging presentation included information such as the importance of the invention of the transformer, logical gates in model architecture, alignment research, and macro forces that shape the industry. 

The engaging talk included students and teachers asking questions such as, “Are we at the beginning or mid-point of Moore’s law?” The event included two sessions for our students.
