Pease repeats as state champ; Track teams finish 4th and 5th

Madeleine Pease

Senior Madeleine Pease reclaimed the high jump individual state title at the NCISAA Division I Track & Field Championship held at Ravenscroft School May 20-21. She won the event as a freshman with a height of 4'10" and claimed it again as a senior with a height of 5'2". Her personal best of 5'3" from earlier in the season stands as the new Latin school record. As a team, the Hawks finished fourth in the girls' competition and fifth in the boys' competition. The top eight finishers in each event score points for the team.
