Megan Klingenberg 2X USA Lacrosse All-American
USA Lacrosse named Megan Klingenberg '22 an All-American midfielder for a second consecutive year. She is the first girls' lacrosse player in Charlotte Latin history to earn the honor twice during high school.
The All-American award goes to the best players in their respective areas that exhibit superior skills and technique, and possess exceptional game sense and knowledge. According to the USA Lacrosse website, "A USA Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship." See the full list of All-American honorees here.
In spite of being hampered by a few injuries during the 2022 season, Megan led the team in shot percentage and was in the top three in all offensive categories. She earned the Player of the Year award, also for a second consecutive year, from the Charlotte Independent School Athletic Association, and has been NCISAA All-State and CISAA All-Conference since she came to Latin in her freshman year. Megan will continue her education and her lacrosse career at the University of Denver.
Congratulations, Megan!
