Congratulations to Director of Orchestras, Sabrina Howard, who was selected for the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA) Orchestra Section Hall of Fame/Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Mrs. Howard will be recognized at the NC All-State Orchestra Concert in Winston-Salem this Sunday, November 6 at 4:30 p.m.

“I am both stunned and humbled to have been recognized by my peers from across our state in this way. This award is usually presented to someone who has retired with more than 30 years in the classroom, a history of fabulous orchestras, and service above and beyond to NCMEA,” remarked Mrs. Howard. To top that, she is the first person still actively teaching to receive the award. “This is as big as it gets in orchestra land,” she added.
