Upper School Play Our Town
September 30, October 1–2

Our Town is a meditation on the big questions of life as well as a love letter to the simple pleasures that make life worth living. Maybe most importantly right now, the play is a hymn to the ties that bind us together as a community. With lots of laughs and plenty of heart, Thornton Wilder's classic provides opportunities for a large number of students to audition for roles large and small. Faculty are encouraged to audition as well!

Auditioning now via video submission. Students should share a one-minute monologue and fill out an audition form here by June 15.

Middle School Play The Hobbit

The Hobbit is a play in One Act based upon the work of J.R.R. Tolkein. This adventure play has room for a large cast, as many dwarves must retrieve their treasure from an evil dragon. Led by the infamous Bilbo Baggins and the gigantic Gandalf, we learn there is more to little hobbits than meets the eye! Learn of the ring's origin in this pre-quel to The Lord of the Rings.

Lower School Musical Pirates: Hidden Treasure

This contemporary musical follows a group of pirates as they search for treasure, weather a storm, and become shipwrecked on an island. Along the way, the pirates discover their many talents. Imagine "America's Got Talent" on a deserted island! This is an ensemble show with opportunities for actors of all levels. The cast is open to rising Grade 4–5 students.

Middle School Musical Disney's Newsies, Jr.
January 27–28, 2023

Disney's Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies form a movement to fight for what's right!

Upper School Musical Shrek the Musical

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Senior Film (by application only)

Seniors who have an interest in film production are invited to apply to participate in this project. A group of seniors will collaborate with film industry professionals to produce an original short film. Students will receive training and guidance from start to finish, from initial conception and writing, through casting and pre-production to filming, editing and a premiere event. Underclassmen will be eligible to audition for roles in the film or to serve as support crew behind the scenes.
