Students Excel in National Greek Examination

Congratulations to Peter DiSciullo ’26, Connor Cruz ’26, and Kabir Nawaz ’26, who all excelled in the annual National Greek Examination sponsored by the American Classical League. Greek teacher (and Head of Upper School) Lawrence E. Wall, Jr., said that the exam “tests students’ knowledge of the grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of the Greek common among the literate classes during the Golden Age of Periclean Athens during the 5th Century BCE.” Connor and Peter each earned “Highest Honors,” while Kabir had a perfect paper, achieved by only the top 0.6 percent of students who took the exam this year. The class as a whole placed among the top 8.1 of students in the National Greek Examination — well done!
