Eighth grader Sofia Rodrigues Angrisano was recently recognized for her prowess on the clarinet, ranking as one of the best student musicians in the state of North Carolina. Having successfully auditioned for the South Central District Band Association honor band earlier this year, she placed high enough to try out last week for the NC Music Educator Associations All-State Honors Band. Auditioning the campus of UNC Greensboro, she earned the 11th chair in that ensemble, out of 20 available spots.

“Students chosen for All-State Honors Band serve as ambassadors for their school, showcasing the success that comes through hard work and perseverance,” said Pam Sweer, Assistant Band Director. “Being selected for All-State is one of the highest honors a student musician can achieve, representing outstanding talent, dedication, and musical excellence. Sofia’s achievement brings great pride to Charlotte Latin and highlights the school's commitment to the arts.”
