"Electrify Your Strings!"

Highly acclaimed international recording artist and Emmy-winning composer Mark Wood is the artist-in-residence at Charlotte Latin this week. As a part of his Electrify Your Strings! music education program, Wood is working with Latin's Middle and Upper School strings students on Monday and Tuesday, and will perform with them during a concert on March 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Thies Auditorium. Wood, a Juilliard alumnus, is the lead violinist and string conductor with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He has performed with Celine Dion, Lenny Kravitz, and Everclear, and is currently starring in a national television ad campaign for Pepsi®. Wood's visit is supported, in part, with a project grant from the Arts & Science Council.
