Griggs '12 named U.S. Army All-American

Charlotte Latin senior Paul Griggs, who was selected for the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, received his No. 12 jersey during a ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in Belk Gym.

Presented by U.S. Army soldiers, this honor was bestowed on only 90 of the top high school players in the nation. Griggs and McNulty will go to San Antonio, Texas, for the game, which will be played on Saturday, Jan. 7, in the Alamodome.

The Army states that “this bowl game has been the premier high school football game in the nation, serving as a preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars for more than 11 years.”

Griggs has committed to play football for Purdue University.
