Mike Weiss, whose Charlotte Latin squad won its second straight N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 3A title, is the Girls' Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Weiss helped develop all-state runners Kameron Spence, Ashley Miess, Haylee Dawe and Hillary Dawe. The quartet finished among the top seven at the state meet. Latin also logged a perfect score (15) with the top five runners to win the Charlotte Independent Schools Athletic Association championship.
