Diversity Night 2010

The Upper School Diversity Club went “out of the box” in presenting a memorable cultural experience during Diversity Night festivities on Friday, Jan. 22. The evening included vocal music selections, dances from the globe, moving monologues, and poetry by renowned spoken artist Terry Creech, who was an artist-in-residence in the Upper School last week. Those in attendance also sampled a delicious variety of ethnic dishes, including an array of Dutch cheeses, traditional Jewish bread, Cajun gumbo, Nigerian cuisine, Greek-style tiropitas, and American apple pie. Donations were accepted for the Hembee Center, a program for autistic children, and for relief efforts in Haiti.
