Got poetry?

Seventh grade students learn about poetry through “the lesson of the baby arm,” “the lesson of maple syrup,” and “the lesson of the hanger” with artist-in-residence Allan Wolf on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Wolf is the award-winning author of eight books, including Zane’s Trace and Immersed in Verse. He uses poem performance to help students understand what a particular poem means to them, and encourages students to look at the world as if seeing it for the first time. “Poets see things that we take for granted,” he noted.
