Students learn Shakespearean acting methods

Allan Edwards, a member of the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival and the Middle School's artist-in-residence, teaches students about the methods Shakespearean actors would use in conveying a scene to an audience. In the photo above, Edwards prepares a student in Mrs. Pam Franklin's English class to act in a scene from Romeo and Juliet. Edward's residency is supported, in part, with a Project Grant from the Arts & Science Council.
