Upper School students honored for volunteer service

 

The Upper School Service Society inducted 54 new members (pictured above), 51 students received President's Volunteer Service Awards, and six individuals received the Habitat for Humanity Golden Hammer Award during an assembly on April 27.

To be inducted into the the Service Society, an Upper School student must perform at least 150 hours of community service by the end of his or her senior year. To receive a President's Volunteer Service Award, students must perform 250 hours of service for the gold award, 175 hours for the silver award, and 100 hours for the bronze award. To date, members of the senior class have performed 14,773 hours of documented service to the community.
