Broadway receives Lifetime Achievement Award from the N.C. Athletic Directors’ Association

Charlotte Latin School athletic director Jimmy Broadway received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the N.C. Athletic Directors’ Association during its annual meeting on March 22 in Asheville, N.C.

Broadway came to Charlotte Latin School in 1986 and has been the athletic director at the school since 1993. Prior to his appointment at Charlotte Latin, Broadway served as a teacher and coach at Charlotte Country Day School from 1970-1986. Under his guidance, Charlotte Latin’s varsity boys’ and girls’ athletic teams have received numerous state titles and the school has won five consecutive Wachovia Cups since the 2004-2005 school year.

Broadway graduated from Raleigh’s Broughton High School, where he played basketball with “Pistol Pete” Maravich, and Wake Forest University, where he played basketball for the legendary coach Bones McKinney.
