Charlotte Latin students give back to the community

Sixty-three Charlotte Latin students were recognized for their service to the community during an assembly in Thies Auditorium.

The Charlotte Latin Service Society inducted new members during an assembly on Thursday, April 24. To be inducted into the Service Society, a four-year student must perform 150 hours of community service (students who transfer into the school have their hours prorated). The members of the Class of 2008 performed over 10,000 hours of documented service during their four years in the Upper School. The following students met the requirements for induction: Cameron Ball, Rachel Barkley, Jenna Branner, Stephen Buchanan, Cameron Burdick, Kayln Carson, Britt Caudill, Meg Currie, Hope Davis, Graham Foster, Max Hagler, Alex Henderson, Louise Hindal, Evan Kazura, Carissa King, Betsy Klein, Liz Lewis, Claire Litaker, Rob McAlister, Peter McDowell, Noah Menaker, Maggie Milton, Greg Mittl, Obi Okwara, Colin Peterson, Amy Pighin, Harrison Pollan, Kathleen Powers, James Proffitt, Claire Robb, Danny Roberts, Daniel Ryskiewich, Rick Sassano, Caroline Shaffner, Heather Taddonio, Jamie Todd, Erin Troxell, Elizabeth Weisner, Rachel Wexler and Shelly Wynn.
