Lower School

Music & Theater

Beginning in the Lower School, Latin's youngest students are introduced to the basic elements of music, such as rhythm, harmony and melody. Teachers creatively employ learning-by-doing in their classes to teach concepts like tempo, incorporating physical movement and listening exercises into instruction. Productions include a fall musical, a spring play, the Fourth Grade State Fair, and the annual Grandparents' Day presentation by students in TK–Grade 3.

Visual Art

Students learn basic skills in Lower School through projects based on classical techniques and themes.

Art educators are meant to inspire students to a place of creativity where imaginations are limitless.
