The Extended Day Program offers students fun-filled times in a
loosely structured, enrichment-oriented environment. Dedicated
classroom space provides facilities for play and study. Assistance
with homework is available, as well as a variety of activities,
including a craft of the week and access to computers. Snacks and
playground time are incorporated into the daily schedule, and trips
to petting zoos, roller rinks, and other special locales make extended
day a happy experience for young children.
The Extended Day after-School program serves Charlotte Latin students
in grades Transitional Kindergarten through five, space permitting.
Students may stay in extended care until 3:10 p.m., 4:30 p.m.,
or 6:00 p.m. The program is staffed by a qualified teacher and
an assistant, with a student-teacher ratio of 12:1. Fees reflect
two-day, three-day, or five-day a week options. In addition, a daily option is available, space permitting, with a one-day notice period.
