Senior Parent College Night

Meeting for parents of seniors in the Black Box Theater. College Center policies and procedures for the senior year will be discussed, and the various stresses of the senior year will be reviewed.

Charlotte Independent School College Fair

(Sophomores, Juniors, Some Seniors)

Sophomores and juniors are encouraged to attend. Seniors may wish to drop by to talk to representatives from the colleges where they are applying.

Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 p.m., Forum

Financial Aid Information Session

The College Center will host a three-school (CLS, CCDS, and PDS) Financial Aid evening. A guest speaker will share information regarding the need-based financial aid process as well as some basics about merit scholarships.

Tuesday, November 8, at 7:00 p.m., Thies Auditorium

Juniors and Junior Parents Required College Night

The College Center will present a program for juniors and their parents in Thies Auditorium. We will provide detailed information on all aspects of the college process, including self-evaluation, researching college options, presenting oneself to colleges, and financial aid. A comprehensive notebook with updated materials will be provided for all Charlotte Latin juniors and parents.

Sophomore College Night (optional)

A guest speaker, along with a panel of high school seniors, will present an appropriate message to help sophomore students and parents approach the college search process.

NCAA Athletic Recruiting Informational Meeting

Student athletes and parents who are interested in learning about the athletic recruitment process should attend this program.

Senior Parents Transition to College Night

The College Center will host a Transition to College Program to help parents prepare for the issues that they and their children are likely to encounter in the following year.
